Dryad Community update: April 2026 highlights

The first months of 2026 have been busy ones for Dryad. We’re forging new partnerships and expanding longstanding ones, speaking out in the Open Science community, and supporting research integrity.

Updates from Dryad

  • Dryad is thrilled to welcome new partners American Finance Association (AFA) and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and to expand on existing partnerships with  Canadian Science Publishing (CSP) and the Ecological Society of America (ESA).
  • In celebration of Love Data Week, Dryad and SORTEE cohosted a webinar with guests Richard Sever of openRxiv, Jennifer Meyer of British Ecological Society, Brooke Longfox of MorphoBank, and Wei Mun Chan of eLife. The recording is now available on YouTube.
  • A study appeared on Science Detective featuring case studies of datasets published on Dryad. The work showcases the importance of open data in supporting research integrity by empowering readers and researchers to investigate and validate findings. We’re working with Science Detective to engage authors and journals in resolving the issues where possible.

Data is important to assessing the accuracy of a scholarly research article. That’s why Dryad offers Private for Peer Review — an optional feature that grants controlled access for journal staff, editors, and peer reviewers before datasets are published.
