Dryad has been recognized by SCOSS as providing essential international Open Science infrastructure since December 2022.
SCOSS (the Global Sustainability Coalition for Open Science) is a network of organizations committed to supporting Open Access and Open Science through crowdfunding. Each year, the coalition vets a number of nonprofit infrastructure projects, evaluating them against criteria that include international relevance, cross disciplinary application, value to Open Science, technical importance, and community engagement, and choses up to three “SCOSS recommended” organizations.
We’re honored that SCOSS coalition members from around the world continue to see Dryad data curation, publication, and preservation as essential to the future of Open Science. And we couldn’t agree more.
Through SCOSS, you can join like-minded funders in providing support to help keep Dryad sustainable, and contribute to a future where research data is openly available and routinely reused. Dryad makes data curation, publication, discovery, and reuse simple for researchers, and easy for publishers and institutions to support. That results in higher rates of data availability, improves the reliability and efficiency of research, and ultimately leads to more rapid scientific progress. We are grateful for this acknowledgement of our work, and for all the ways our community shows their support every day. Thank you to all the researchers who trust us with their data; to the publishers and institutions who partner with and recommend us; the board members and advisors who help us chart the way forward; the data curators, programers, and other staff who keep Dryad running strong; and of course, our donors. Your confidence and your belief in our shared mission mean the world to us.
